The idea

One class. Everyone welcome.

On Sunday 30 August we're taking STRONG out of the studio and onto the grass at Birdwood Square. It's a free community class, open to absolutely everyone - members, first-timers, neighbours, kids, grandparents. No experience needed - just pop your name down below so we know you're coming, then roll out a mat at 10am and move with us. There's a whole morning of family-friendly activities, community stalls and a First Kick soccer session happening around us too, so come early and make a morning of it.

Save your spot on the grass

The class is free and nobody gets turned away on the day - registering just tells us how many mats to expect, and gives us a way to reach you if the Perth weather forces a change of plan. Pop your details in below and you're set.

Registration is free and handled securely by Hapana. On the day we'll be on the open grass off Beaufort Street - look for the STRONG crew and a lot of mats.

Questions

Do I need to register?

The class is free either way, and nobody gets turned away on the day. Registering through the form above just helps us plan for numbers - and means we can reach you directly if anything about the morning changes. It takes about thirty seconds.

What do I need to bring?

A mat is essential - we're on grass. Beyond that: a water bottle, something comfortable to move in, and a hat and sunscreen if the Perth sun turns it on.

I've never done Pilates before. Is it for me?

Absolutely. It's a friendly, instructor-led mat class, and every movement can be modified to meet you where you're at. Our trainers will talk you through all of it - that's the whole point of running it in a park.

Can I bring the kids?

Please do. First Kick are running a free soccer session on the grass from 9:45am to 10:45am for ages 2-12, there are family-friendly activities and community stalls all morning, and little ones are more than welcome on the mat next to you.

Where is Birdwood Square and where do I park?

Birdwood Square is on Beaufort Street in Highgate, a couple of minutes from the studio at 268 Lord Street. There's street parking around the square and along the surrounding streets, and plenty of buses run down Beaufort Street.

What happens if it rains?

We'll make the call on the morning, get in touch with everyone who's registered, and post an update on Instagram at @strong_highgate. If the weather turns, keep an eye there before you head over.
