The idea

Move STRONG. Together.

On Saturday 24 October, we’re taking STRONG out of the studios and onto the grass at Speers Point. One big outdoor workout by the water, followed by a morning celebrating the people, businesses and community that make Newcastle + Lake Macquarie so STRONG. CRUMB will bring their pastry pop-up to Lake Macquarie for the very first time and they’ll be serving free iced lattes and matcha to the first 100 people, plus there’ll be local giveaways and special edition merch by Newcastle artist Mitch Revs and much more. Whether you're a STRONG member or a first timer, grab your partner or mates and come along! Register below so we know you’re coming.

Questions

Do I need to register?

Yes - it's free, it takes thirty seconds and it's how we plan for numbers. Registering also puts you in the draw for giveaways and means we can reach you directly if anything about the morning changes.

What time does it start?

Gates open at 6:15am and the workout starts at 6:45am. Get there early - the first 100 through the gates have a STRONG towel and goodie bag waiting for them.

What is the workout?

A STRONG mat workout, not a studio class. No machines - just you, a mat, a trainer and a few hundred people doing it with you. Around 45 minutes, full body, every movement modifiable. If you've done STRONG in studio you'll recognise the format. If you haven't, this is the easiest way to meet us.

I've never done STRONG before. Is it for me?

Yes. You don't need to be fit to start - that's the result, not the prerequisite. Our trainers will talk you through every move and give you options. Come alone, bring a friend, bring your mum.

What do I need to bring?

A mat is essential - we're on grass. Beyond that: a water bottle, something comfortable to move in and a hat and sunscreen because it's October by the lake.

Can I bring the kids?

Please do. It's a family-friendly morning - little ones are welcome on the mat next to you or on the grass with the markets.

Where is Speers Point Park and where do I park?

Speers Point Park is on the northern shore of Lake Macquarie, off Park Road at Speers Point. There's parking at the park and along the surrounding streets - arrive a little early if you want a spot close to the mats.

How do I get the merch?

Mitch Revs has designed a limited run for the morning. Details on how to get it are coming closer to the day - register and you'll hear first.

What happens if it rains?

We'll make the call on the morning, message everyone who's registered and post an update on Instagram. If the weather turns, check there before you head over.
